Jonathan Moon
Jonathan Moon and his family moved to Cobán, Guatemala in the Summer of 2019. Jonathan, born and raised in Bolivia, studied Business Administration in Washington, USA, received his Multiple-Subject & Spanish Bilingual teaching credentials, and taught in various Spanish immersion and bilingual schools in California. Having been raised in a Christian private American school in Bolivia, which was run by missionaries, Jonathan hopes to give the same level of education and opportunities to the children of Cobán.

Julissa Ardon
Alejandra Julissa Ardón Xajpot is a psychologist, a graduate of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, a vocational counselor, and a physical education teacher specializing in educational psychology. A Guatemalan national, she has over 10 years of experience in education, from preschool to university level, with extensive knowledge of sports, holistic student development, and innovative pedagogical strategies.
She currently serves as assistant principal, promoting structured, inclusive, and motivating learning environments, committed to the development of well-rounded, responsible, and purposeful individuals.

Stephanie Moon
Chair
Stephanie graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, with a B.S. in Accounting. She has worked as an accountant and finance manager for companies like Amazon and Chevron. She earned her Master's in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. Her desire is to foster in our students a passion for English, show them the love of Jesus and prepare them to be successful in the world.

Joyce holds a B.S. in Fashion Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Drexel University. Having developed her career at Brooks Brothers, she brings a high standard of excellence to our leadership team. Joyce is passionate about fostering collaboration and leveraging her entrepreneurial mindset to build sustainable, forward-thinking strategies for AMIIS.
Noah Ho
Treasurer
Noah graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychobiology. He has established an extracurricular English program for students all throughout Coban. With his experience running the extracurricular academy, Noah is committed to supporting the long-term health and mission of AMIIS through fiscal transparency, precision, and collaborative leadership.
