Hiring Vice Principal

The Vice Principal will support the Principal in implementing school policies, overseeing teachers, and ensuring curriculum alignment with international standards and Christian values. They will foster positive relationships with staff, students, and parents, coordinate parent engagement initiatives, and manage student growth plans for at-risk students. Additional responsibilities include teaching courses, organizing the admissions process, handling teacher absences, and preparing weekly reports on school activities and performance.​

​Requirements: 

  • 5+ years teaching and/or administrator experience

  • Bilingual English and Spanish

  • Master’s degree

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to the students, professional staff, parents/guardians, and members of the community

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated experience with hiring and managing personnel

  • Christian

Job Responsibilities: 

School Administration & Policies:
  • Meet with the Principal to discuss the implementation of school policies and programs.

  • Maintain and organize all written school policies and procedures

  • Implement and enforce school discipline policies

  • Attend all Mineduc meetings as needed and handle all requirements

  • Be knowledgeable about school goals and programs

  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to the director on absences, testing, students in need of support, disciplinary issues in proper writing and/or oral style and structure

Teacher Support and Curriculum Alignment
  • Assist the Principal in supervising and evaluating staff

  • Meet 1-1 with each teacher regularly to assist them in developing goals for their classroom and professionally.

  • Bring up teaching needs to the principal in weekly meeting

  • Assist the Principal in assigning teachers to special duties, i.e. cafeteria duty, hall duty, etc.

  • Review all teacher’s curriculum and ensure alignment with international standards

  • Coordinate teacher absences and schedules, find coverage for absences

Parent Engagement
  • Meet with teachers, pupils, parents/guardians as needed

  • Assist and Coordinate PTA Programs

  • Arrange 1-2 workshops per year for parents

​

Student Success
  • Develop growth plans for students that are at risk of failing the grade, work with teachers and parents to develop remediation plans.

  • Organize and coordinate application and admission process

  • Hold information sessions about the application and admission process

  • Implement and prepare standardized testing to ensure that all students are meeting objectives and goals
